App privacy policy

• Account information, such as your name and email address, when you create or save an account.
• An optional profile photo selected from your photo library.
• A chart name or label, birth date, optional birth time, birth place, selected coordinates, and timezone when you create a chart or personalize lessons.
• Learning information, including progress, completed lessons, answers, accuracy, XP, level, streaks, bookmarks, saved charts, settings, and notification preferences.
• Question reports, support messages, and other information you choose to send.

Birth details are optional during onboarding. You can use the learning app without adding them.

• Chart SVGs, chart placements, interpretations, practice results, and cached chart data.
• App interactions and diagnostic context, such as screens viewed, lesson and feature activity, app version, language, subscription state, and coarse progress or accuracy ranges.
• A random app-install identifier used for analytics. When you sign in, AstroLingo also associates analytics activity with your Supabase account ID. These identifiers are not advertising IDs.
• Subscription products, purchase status, restore results, and entitlement state.
• If you enable remote notifications, an Expo push token plus the app version, platform, language, device timezone, and notification preferences needed to deliver them.

• Provide lessons, chart calculations, chart visuals, saved profiles, synchronization, leaderboards, and other requested app features.
• Authenticate accounts and keep account-linked learning data available across devices.
• Process, restore, and validate subscriptions and entitlements.
• Send learning reminders or product notifications you enable.
• Measure product interaction, diagnose problems, improve lessons and features, and understand subscription performance.
• Measure advertising results through Apple's privacy-preserving, aggregated conversion systems.

• Photos: requested only when you choose a profile photo.
• Location: used only with permission if a map feature offers current-location assistance for confirming a place used in chart calculations. AstroLingo does not track location in the background.
• Notifications: requested when you enable notifications and used to deliver the reminders or updates you choose.

AstroLingo does not use the camera or microphone. App-provided permission explanations are localized in English and French.

• Apple App Store and StoreKit process purchases made on iOS; Google Play Billing processes purchases made on Android.
• RevenueCat manages subscription entitlements, purchase status, and restore handling.
• Supabase provides account authentication, database synchronization, profile-photo storage, question reports, leaderboards, and remote-notification registration.
• FreeAstroAPI handles city search, chart generation, ephemeris, moon, ingress, and interpretation requests.
• Google Firebase Analytics processes app-interaction events, user properties, the app-install analytics identifier, and the account ID described above.
• Expo, Apple Push Notification service, and Firebase Cloud Messaging process push tokens and notification delivery when remote notifications are enabled.
• Apple AdAttributionKit and SKAdNetwork process aggregated install and conversion postbacks for advertising measurement.

When you request a chart or related calculation, FreeAstroAPI may receive the chart label, birth date, optional birth time, selected city, coordinates, timezone, and calculation settings needed to return the result.

AstroLingo uses Firebase Analytics to understand how the app and lessons are used. You can stop future Firebase Analytics collection and reset this device's analytics identifier in the app under Settings > Privacy > Exclude this device from analytics.

AstroLingo does not access IDFA, does not include third-party advertising trackers, and does not use your data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. Apple AdAttributionKit and SKAdNetwork provide aggregated conversion measurement without an AstroLingo account ID or advertising ID.

Information is shared only with the service providers described above as needed to operate, secure, support, analyze, and improve AstroLingo. AstroLingo does not sell personal data or share it with data brokers.

• Local progress, settings, identifiers, and cached content remain on the device until you clear local data, reset the relevant setting, or delete the app.
• Account-linked profile, progress, charts, profile photos, and related app records remain until you delete the account or request deletion.
• Support messages and reports may be retained while they are needed to respond, prevent abuse, or improve the app, then deleted or de-identified.
• Service-provider logs, analytics, backups, and Apple or Google purchase records follow the applicable provider retention rules and legal requirements.

• Skip birth data during onboarding.
• Decline Photos, Location, or Notifications permission, or change permissions later in the device settings.
• Exclude the device from future Firebase Analytics collection in Settings > Privacy.
• Delete saved charts in the app.
• Use Settings > Privacy > Delete local data to remove AstroLingo data stored by the app on the device.
• When the option is available in your installed version, use Settings > Privacy > Delete account to permanently delete the AstroLingo account and account-linked app data. If that option is not shown yet or you cannot access the app, use the account-deletion request on the Data page.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple Account settings or Google Play, depending on the purchase platform.

Deleting an AstroLingo account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription or remove purchase records that the store must retain. Account deletion removes the current RevenueCat customer profile; restoring an active purchase later may create a new RevenueCat record. If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion from the account deletion and data requests page.

AstroLingo is not directed to children under 13.
